He always
saw himself becoming a surgeon.
Even as a child growing up in Mumbai -
India, he always dreamed of becoming a
doctor. He grew up in a family of doctors
- all specialists in their respective
fields. His father is a Radiologist and
Sonologist and mother is a Gynaecologist
and Obstetrician.
They started Sarla Hospital & ICU
in 1970 as a 10 bedded Nursing Home
and it is now a 30 bedded hospital with
7 ICU beds, a Multi Speciality Hospital
with many super-specialities attached,
equipped with the latest to its equipments
and all life care systems like ventilators,
cardiac monitors, central oxygen, pulse
oximeter, Infusion pumps, etc. Hospital
offers complete quality care.
Due
to the early exposure, medicine always
fascinated him. He persuaded his dream
and graduated from Medical School [L.T.M.M.
College - Sion], after which he joined
residency in General surgery and Oncosurgery
at Tata Hospital, KEM Hospital and Cooper
Hospital.

What
drew him to Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery was that
" you see the result promptly ",
and it is very gratifying. He thus joined the
Super Speciality course in Plastic Surgery
and graduated from Sir J. J. Group of Hospitals.
[Mumbai University].
He is board certified Surgeon and has degree of
M. Ch. [Masters- Superspeciality degree] and D.
N. B. [Diplomat National Board] in Cosmetic and
Plastic Surgery; also recognized by all Common
wealth countries. These are the highest level
of education degrees in to the medical field.
He is member of All India Association of Plastic
Surgeons, All India Association of Aesthetic Surgeon,
Maharashtra Association of Plastic Surgeons, Consultants
Association of India, Indian Medical Council [IMA],
Santacruz Medical Association, General Practitioners
Association, etc.

For
Advanced Cosmetic and aesthetic
surgery and laser training - he did a
fellowship with Dr. Woffles
Wu at Singapore. Dr. Woffles
Wu is a member and teaching faculty with
the International Aesthetic Surgery Society.
Dr. Wu has invented the Stealth incision
(Hidden incision) for Breast implant and
has simplified and refined various surgical
procedures like liposuction, chin implants,
nose jobs, liposculpting, eyelid surgeries,
etc.
He is an advanced BOTOX and Fillers trainer
having the distinction of doing the maximum
number of BOTOX and Fillers procedure
per year since the latest few years. He
is also the inventor of WAPTOS - Non Surgical
Facelift - Threadlift, considered today
as a revolution in Aesthetic Surgery.
Dr. Viral Desai worked with him for three
months and gained a lot from his vast
experience, Dr. Woffles has over ten procedures
listed to him, all invented by him today.

While working with Dr. Woffles Wu, Dr. Desai
has fine tuned the art of various surgical
procedures like Liposculpting, breast
implants, eyelid surgeries, nose jobs, chin
implant etc. Dr. Viral Desai is today
an advanced BOTOX and Fillers user and trainer
in India. He also is the pioneer
to do Non-Surgical facelift - WAPTOS, APTOS
(threadlift) in India today (for the first
time in India).

Dr. Desai also did a fellowship
in the Cosmetic Surgery Department
at Singapore General Hospital,
where he worked with nine different
cosmetic surgeons and gained a lot
from their vast experience, learning
from all of them. He has conducted
training workshops for other doctors
for advanced BOTOX and Filler's work
and has also given various lectures
at Rotary Clubs, etc
